Clear glossy labels (transparent labels) are a great way to achieve the ‘no label’ look. Often combined with a simple design to achieve very effective results when applied to light surfaces. Ideal for indoor and outdoor use, will withstand a drenching and remain stuck. We also offer a white ink option on clear vinyl labels to achieve a very modern, stylish look. Transparent sticky labels can be printed in any shape or size. We have plenty more options in our waterproof vinyl range with different colours or finishes.
Adhesives and finishes
A crisp, glossy coating will make your designs look sharp once printed. Available in a permanent adhesive. The glossy finish can be written on with a fine-tip permanent marker. Our waterproof range is digitally printed in high-quality CMYK or white with eco-solvent inks that offer a level of scratch and UV resistance.
Usages
Clear glossy vinyl waterproof labels are very popular for branding cosmetic products, glassware and aluminium containers. You can also use our clear glossy labels as a smart packaging seal to build brand awareness, adding a touch of style to your product and services.
An interesting effect that can be achieved using transparent labelling is to use the product to provide contrast. If a clear plastic or glass is used and the label is also clear with white printing on it then as it stands the text or logo would be hard to see, but if the product that is inside is dark then the label would then become legible.
The contrast could also be used between the container and the printing on the label, dark plastics and metal are obvious examples. Make sure you accommodate this in your label design.

Made from a clear monomeric calendared PVC material. The waterproof vinyl will withstand moisture for prolonged periods and even a period of immersion as is imperative for many personal care products. Can be marked with a permanent pen if required.

Please note: As standard, clear gloss labels are printed using semi-translucent inks, not opaque inks. If clear gloss labels are to adhere to a dark object/surface there is a good chance the design will NOT show up! If you require your full colour design to be backed up in white ink to make the colours more visible, please choose the white ink printing option when prompted on your order journey. Please be aware, this will not give you full opacity. If you need a fully opaque print, please choose a white material.
